A Haul Long Forgotten

Back when I was in Germany, I did some European makeup hauling that somehow never made it onto my blog.  I tried not to spend too much money on makeup, but I couldn't resist picking up a few things, mainly from Kiko and Art Deco.  I've already used and shown quite a few of these products, but never got around to reviewing them.  This month, I will definitely be taking these products out to get reviews up!

Here is all the damage!  I'm happy to say I've been loving ALL of these!

Read on to see more detailed pictures, swatches and more!

I walked into the Kiko store and was impressed by a few things, including their extensive line-up, shade selection, simple no-fuss packaging, and it's moderate price point.  I'm sad that I wasn't able to pick up more things, but I only had so much room in my luggage!

Unfortunately Kiko is an Italian brand that is only available in Europe, but I know what I'll be looking for next time I go back!

Kiko Soft Touch Blush in #111 Rosa Antico Scuro

Kiko Soft Touch Blush in #111 Rosa Antico Scuro (7,50 €):  Kiko blushes are an absolute dream to use!  They are soft, smooth, pigmented, and there are different finishes in the shade selection. I chose this pinky-plum shade because it's something I have less of in my collection.  I originally thought of it as more of a fall/winter shade, but I have really enjoyed using it right now since it's a great everyday blush.  At 7,50 €, I think it is quite a bargain!  The packaging feels quite a bit like the NARS packaging - slightly matte and rubbery.

Kiko Colour Party Palette in 01 Peach Lake

Kiko Colour Party Palette in 01 Peach Lake (16,90 €): I was not originally planning to pick this up, but I saw it in the store and could not walk away from it.  The colors are absolutely beautiful and perfect for the summer, and on top of that, they are fabulously pigmented and smooth.  These aren't shades I would usually use, but it's definitely what inspired me to start being more colorful again.  This was limited edition and on the website, I see that it is now 8,40 €, so pick this up now while you can!

Kiko Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow in #05 Rosy Brown

Kiko Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow in #05 Rosy Brown (6,90€) : These stick-cream eyeshadows are AMAZING, guys!  They glide on effortlessly, blend out perfectly, and stay on all day.  I've been using these quite frequently recently and love how complex the shade is.  It really is a rosy brown that also leans quite taupe.  I love how I can build this up to be a smokey base, or just use it as a wash for lazy days.

Kiko Super Colour Eyeliner in #106 Electric Blue

Kiko Super Colour Eyeliner in #106 Electric Blue (6,90 €):  I am so obsessed with this color right now.  This bright royal blue and coral are always my weaknesses when it comes to anything.  I kind of have a strange desire to have ALL the liquid eyeliners out there, but have only picked up this one recently.  I love the thin felt tip and it makes it really easy to draw a thin line or build it up to be more dramatic.  The color is also opaque and breathtaking.  I definitely wish I had gotten more of these, since it's so hard to find color liquid eyeliner that's this inexpensive!

Kiko Smart Lipstick in #904 Strawberry Pink

Kiko Smart Lipstick in #904 Strawberry Pink (3,90 €): I saw this shade and couldn't walk away from it.  I'm actually wearing it here, and as you can see, it is definitely a strawberry pink.  What I love most about this lipstick is it's opaque, buildable, and light formula that's almost moisturizing without feeling too creamy.  I couldn't believe it was only 3,90 €!

Kiko Smart Lipstick in #92

Kiko Smart Lipstick in #92 (2,50 €): I bought this on sale and thought it was a great nude that wasn't too pale or that made me look like a corpse.  The packaging of this lipstick is different from #904, but they're both called Smart lipsticks. My guess is that this line is being discontinued and replaced by the a new formulation.

Kiko Smart Lipstick in #904, #92

Art Deco is a German mid-range brand that offers customizable palettes with a wide range of eyeshadows and blushes.  Although I was drawn to many of their products, I limited my haul to just 3 items.  I know that I'll be picking up more when I go back, trying to catch 'em all!

Art Deco Eyeshadow in #4, #10

#12

Art Deco Refillable Eyeshadows in #4, 10, 12 (~5 € each):  I love how the texture of these eyeshadows - they're not too hard, creamy, or powdery, and they have a slightly sheer finish that is definitely buildable.  I bought some pretty basic shades, and am happy with all of them.  They are pretty inexpensive, but they only contain .8 g of product, but I still don't think I'll be using them up anytime soon!

Art Deco Eyeshadows in #4, 10, 12

Whew!  This haul is about 2 months too late, but better late than never, right?  For those planning on visiting Europe or those in Europe already, I hope this helped some of you!  For us Americans, it only makes me jealous that I don't live in Europe.  Between Art Deco, Catrice, and Kiko, you European brands know what you're doing!
