Food, food, food, and more food! And a BRIGHT FOTD! (for me, at least)

I seem to go in phases of cooking and not cooking, but a low stock of food in my fridge has had me back in the kitchen.  I know everyone says this, but there's something therapeutic about cooking and mixing ingredients together until you get that perfect flavor. I apologize for the blurry pictures, but I was trying to snap these quickly before they were devoured..

A quinoa, black bean, corn, and pepper salad with basil
Sauteed chicken with greed pepper and jalapenos

Keep reading to see how it all turned out, and how I pushed my comfort zone with some green shadow!

All together!
The recipes are really quite simple.  For the quinoa salad, I just added cooked quinoa, black beans, canned corn, half a green pepper, half a cucumber, and some basil.

For the chicken, I just followed this recipe, but with slightly less tomatoes (because I didn't have as much), and with some added green pepper.  The result was DELICIOUS.  I can not get enough of this, and I feel like I'll be making this a. lot.  I tend to get obsessed with certain foods and then just always have them around, and this is no exception.

Then for dessert, I decided to try another granola recipe.  The first time I made my own granola, it got a little burned, and it didn't clump together very well, but I think this time was a lot more successful.  I followed another recipe for this, from How Sweet It Is, subbing the butter with coconut oil and some almond butter instead.  It didn't clump as well because of the lack of butter, but it is still addicting and delicious!  I also subbed chia seeds for ground flax seed.

I've been just eating it with some milk or on top of my oatmeal...or just on its own....

I can't help it. I love granola.

And bright eyeshadow.  I'm not sure I'll go brighter than this, but I sure loved how it looked way more than I thought it would.

I definitely need to wear color whenever I can because I couldn't stop staring at my eyes the whole day.

Here's what I wore:

Mix of MAC Face and Body and Revlon Colorstay

Bobbi Brown Peach

Sephora Mattifying Foundation

Milani Radiant Bronzer

WNW Pearlescent Pink

Eyes:

NYX HD Eye Primer

NYX Milk JEP

WNW Earth Looks Small from Down Here
-"Browbone" green shade on inner lid
    -"Eyelid" emerald shade on lid
    - "Crease" navy shade in crease

Physician’s Formula Black Gel Liner

Max Factor False Lash Effect

Lips:

Maybelline Nude Blush

Revlon Nude Lustre

Sadly, the WNW trio was limited edition, but I totally underestimated how good Wet n Wild products are, as well as how much I like greens and blues on me.

Now that I finally managed to get a job, I'll have to keep my bright makeup for my off days, but at least I'll master the "I'm a polished and sophisticated adult" look...right?
